About Milam Raemsch

Milam Raemsch currently lives in Miami, Fl and attends podiatry school at the Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami Shores. Deciding to study Podiatric Medicine stems from Milam’s aspirations to build his own podiatric practice in the future. Milam began his Podiatry studies in 2011 at Barry University upon earning his Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology from Texas State University in San Marcos Texas.


Milam is originally from Texas but currently lives in Miami and studies podiatry.

At Texas State University, Milam Raemsch was a cum laude student and was on the Dean List’s for four semesters. The Texas State Biology Department awarded Milam a Certificate of Excellence, while he also earned the Pre Med Scholarship and the Wildlife Management Association Scholarship.

After graduation from Texas State University, Milam worked directly with patients as a transporter at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center. He moved patients back and forth between their rooms and the medical center’s radiology department.

Upon beginning Podiatry school in Miami Shores, Milam Raemsch received the Podiatric merit scholarship since 2011 and the ProAssurance Student Scholarship in the fall of 2013. Apart from his Podiatry studies, as a teaching assistant, Milam also has instructed students in Gross and Lower Extremity Anatomy courses at Barry University by leading cadaver dissections.


While also a student, Milam takes advantage of the fishing opportunities in Miami.

Since Milam first started podiatry school at Barry University, he has attended numerous podiatry events and lectures.  Due to his interest in managing his own podiatry practice, Milam went to several American Academy of Podiatric  Practice seminars and workshops to learn about building a medical practice, hiring associates, investing in real estate and growing his future business through marketing.

Milam also volunteers for medical organizations in his free time including assisting with free foot screenings for financially burdened patients.  His medical volunteer experience includes working with:

* Heal the Stride 5k, 2012

* Broward House Foot Clinic, 2012

* The Missionaries of Charity Food Clinic, 2011 and 2013

* St. Joseph’s Foot Screenings, 2011

* Nova Southeastern University Special Olympics foot screenings, 2011

Along with from his medical volunteering and Podiatry classes, Milam Raemsch is also a skilled hunter and fisherman who enjoys kayaking, cooking and repairing engines.
